Student Travel Awards to establish or strengthen collaborations between CNT investigators and extramural partners. The following restrictions apply:

1. Travel awards are only available to students enrolled in the Nano Ph.D. program or supported by IGERT or UIF fellowships at the time of application
2. Travel awards must be used to perform research and/or explore the possibility of collaborations off-campus. Conferences are specifically excluded
3. Travel awards will provide funds for up to 50% of the total cost incurred with a maximum reimbursement of $250
4. Eligible expenses are travel and lodging.  Students traveling to sites offering guest house or dorm style housing (e.g., PNNL) must use these facilities. Hotel costs will not be covered if guest house facilities are available.
   
5. Up to two (2) awards will be available per quarter on a first-come, first-served basis
6. Applications should describe in less than one page the destination, purpose of the trip, host lab or facility and type of research to be conducted. All applications should be forwarded to Mack Carter
7. Only one Student Travel Award will be made per group per year
