JIN Acknowledgement
JIN Awardees or Awardee Mentors as a recognized recipient of a UW/PNNL JIN award, or the mentor of a recipient, are required to acknowledge this support in publications and presentations, as appropriate. The following wording is to be used:
"JFK (initials of the awardee) acknowledges (partial) support from the Joint Institute for Nanoscience funded by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (operated by Battelle for the U.S. Department of Energy) and the University of Washington."
Awardees and advisors are also required to send Mack Carter the full citation (title, authors, journal, year/volume/page or submitted/in press) of each paper that acknowledges JIN support, as well as the title/amount/funding agency/PI of any external research proposals which are funded partially or entirely through the help of prior JIN support. They are also required to send Mack Carter a list of all presentations that include any results obtained under JIN funding. The above information is critical for showing UW, PNNL and DOE managers that we are doing good science and that the JIN remains worthy of their support. We will post citations of papers and invited presentations on JIN related web pages at UW and PNNL.
