PNNL/UW Joint Institute for Nanoscience
About Us
The University of Washington and Battelle Memorial Institute, Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL) established, effective as of January 1, 2001 the Joint Institute for Nanoscience located on the University in Seattle, Washington, conducting activities at both the University and PNNL. Both the university and PNNL have committed an annual basis, approximately $500,000 by each institution for support of the Joint Institute for Nanoscience. Most of this money will be awarded on an application basis, to support research collaborations between PNNL and UW as its Board and Steering Committe deem appropiate. Award applicants can seek funding for graduate student, postdoc or faculty salary, tuitions for grad students, travel or housing expenses.
