Call for Abstracts
The 5th UW/PNNL Annual Nanoscale Science and Technology Workshop

The Center for Nanotechnology at the University of Washington and Pacific Northwest National Lab jointly present the 5th Nanoscale Science and Technology Workshop 2005 at Henry Arts Gallery on UW campus Tuesday, September 20 and Wednesday, September 21, 2005. UW faculty, students, PNNL scientists and participants from other institutions will share their leading edge research in the following categories:

  1. Functional Nanostructured Materials
  2. Nanoparticles and Nanocomposits
  3. Nanocatalysis and Hydrogen Storage
  4. Nanomedicine and Nanotech Cancer Research
  5. Poster session
Cash prizes for the best graduate student poster presentations sponsored by PNNL

Please submit your abstracts to Dr. Dong Qin at dqin@uw.edu by August 8, 2005. Please include the following information to the abstract:

  1. Highlight the presenter among the authors
  2. Include affiliation
  3. Indicate the type of presentation - oral or poster
  4. Apply for graduate student competition
  5. Limit abstract to NO more than 400 words
Registration Rates -
  • PNNL/Faculty/Postdoc academic: $150
  • Students: $60
  • Public/Industry: $350
  • UW Nanotech UIF/JIN fellows (2005-2006): $30
  • Please note that the registration fee includes a dinner cruise on 9/20/2005.
