The University of Washington (UW) presents NanoTech Meets Business at the Seafirst Executive Education Center on UW campus Wednesday, September 18, 2002. If you are a potential investor, research director, or have an interest in new technologies, this will be the best way to tune into local nanotechnology opportunities.  At the forum you will be able to:

* Learn about exciting technical advances from researchers at Pacific Northwest Laboratories (PNNL) and UW in the areas of Amazing Materials, Nanotechnology and Healthcare, and Nanotechnology for the Environment.

* Meet with researchers actively engaged in these developing Nanotechnologies that will emerge from the labs over the next decade.

The discussions and presentations will be non-technical with plenty of time set aside for questions and networking.  If the presentations pique your interest, you are welcome to  follow up in more depth by attending technical workshop that follows (see below).  Download the NanoTech Meets Business program.

Center for Nanotechnology at UW and the UW/PNNL Joint Institute for Nanoscience present the 2nd Annual Nanoscale Science and Technology Workshop 2002 at the Physics Astronomy Building A102 on UW campus Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20, 2001. UW faculty, students, and PNNL scientists will share their leading edge research into the emerging fields of Photonics and Nanomaterials, Nanocatalysis, MEMS/NEMS, Single Cell Detection, and Biological Nanosystems. Five outside speakers are invited to present their work in these five areas.  The workshop will include a poster session and a dinner cruise on Thursday to foster interactions .  Download the workshop program.
